Support your DuPage forest preserves on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, through the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, and the Friends' board of directors will match total donations up to $5,000.
The Friends’ Giving Tuesday match demonstrates the nonprofit’s commitment to support the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the agency's mission.
“The Forest Preserve District maintains, restores, and preserves all that we have in the forest preserves today, and it works to protect habitat for years to come,” said Friends board member Karyn Charvat. “Residents are lucky to have extensive trails, lakes and rivers, and open spaces to enjoy in DuPage County.”
Nov. 30 through Dec. 31, total gifts to the Friends will then be matched by community partner Navistar, Inc. up to $20,000. Navistar is guided by a vision to accelerate the impact of sustainable mobility and is committed to supporting education, equity, and the environment in communities where its employees live and work.
Gifts of cash is one of the easiest, most convenient ways to contribute. Donors can give by credit card online at dupageforest.org/donate. They can also mail a check made payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District to 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189.
The Friends works with conservation-minded individuals, businesses, and organizations to support the Forest Preserve District throughout the year and invites support in many forms.
