Explore seasonal and volunteer opportunities and gain valuable career experience
(Nov. 19, 2024) — The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is hosting a seasonal job fair on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its headquarters, located at 3S580 Naperville Road in Wheaton.
This event offers job seekers a chance to explore a wide range of seasonal positions and volunteer opportunities for 2025, providing valuable hands-on experience in a variety of fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff from different departments, learn about open positions, and even interview in person for roles that spark their interest.
Attendees can explore dozens of seasonal and volunteer positions, including roles in natural resources, preserve maintenance and operations, community engagement, and more. With opportunities ranging from camp counselors to clerical workers, the job fair is an excellent chance for individuals to find a position that suits their skills and interests whether they’re interested in working outdoors or behind a desk.
“Seasonal and volunteer positions with the Forest Preserve District are a great way to gain valuable experience while making a positive impact in our community and for the environment,” said human resources supervisor Megan Denniger. “Whether you’re a student, a retiree, or someone looking for a unique way to learn new skills, these roles offer something for everyone.”
Walk-ins are welcome, but attendees are encouraged to fill out the online RSVP form in advance. For more information, call 630-933-7682 or email foresthr@dupageforest.org.
